That name was derived from the words 'nocturnal' and 'artist'. Well, that is exactly how I would describe myself. It's weird yet interesting how I am always getting my inspirations at night. I realized this one night when I had the sudden urge to paint. Mixing dark purple with blue, I dipped my fingers into the paint and dabbed on a piece of paper, covering all the whites with indigo. I had no idea what I wanted to paint, I just went along with what I felt. Soon later, I find myself creating clouds on the indigo canvas. When I was done with everything, I was pretty impressed with what I had painted- a dreamy night sky. I don't mean to boa

So.. I haven't been picking up those pencils and make swirly lines on paper. Well, that's not exactly true. I have a book where I doodle and sketch out ideas that pop into my head time from time. When I flipped that book, I realized that I have quite a number of ideas that I would reaaaally like to draw. However, I didn't... And that's because I'm lazy like mad. Oh come on, everyone's got their lazy moments don't they? :P I'll be turning those doodles into 'masterpieces' soon!!

It's not fair. It's not fair that there isn't any place for artists here. It's not fair that art is not recognized here in Singapore. Everyone's so concerned about getting good grades that they've become 'homework robots'. Everyone's aspiring to be doctors, lawyers and so one. No one looks up to artists. No one recognizes us. What happened to creativity? What happened to imagination? Creativity is dead here.
